(DES MOINES, Iowa) — Extra than 100 piglets died Thursday when a semi-trailer carrying about 1,700 of the animals overturned on a shrimp-access highway honest north of Des Moines.
Tom Colvin, chief govt officer of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, stated Friday about 100 piglets were stumbled on dumb at the wreck residing. Crews had to euthanize one other 17 that were injured. “They were suffering,” Colvin toldThe Des Moines Register.

The wreck came about Thursday afternoon when a farm animals trailer overturned on a ramp to Interstate 35. The surviving animals were loaded onto other vans and pushed to a farm animals operation.
